COMMON CROW: Scientific name: Corvus splendens Distinguishing features: Size slightly larger than a pigeon. A black bird with a grey neck, head, and chest. Beak, legs and feet are black. It is smaller than the jungle crow (large billed crow), which is black all over. Common habitat: Usually coexists with humans, found in villages, towns and cities. Feeding habit: Omnivorous. Food ranges from seeds, grains to small mammals and reptiles. Also feeds on dead animals and birds. Unique characteristic: Highly intelligent and bold.
