GANGTOK, June 27: The State Transport Minister TT Bhutia flagged off two luxury SNT buses in a simple ceremony held here at the SNT Bus Terminus this morning.
The minister also inspected the facilities provided in the bus.

He said the recently launched 25 buses JNNURM are catering it services in the periphery of Sikkim. He added the best of the best services should be given to the passengers.

The department secretary SD Basi informed that the 24-seater AC and non AC buses will ply from Bagdogra to Gangtok. “The main aim of launching the two buses is to provide a comfort ride to tourists from Bagdogra to Gangtok,” he added.

The fare in AC bus will be Rs 200 and Rs 220 for non AC per head, it was informed.
Each bus has been procured at the cost of Rs 20:44 lakh from Swaraj Mazda Isuzu, a Japan based leading bus Manufacturing Company.
