Subsidy Worth Rs.2,16,297 Crore Payable in 2011-12

Total subsidy payable in 2011-12 was estimated to Rs.2,16,297 crore in RE 2011-12 against Rs.57,125 crore incurred in 2006-2007, which was about 3.79 times of the expenditure incurred in 2006-2007.
