Border Roads in Sikkim

Border Roads Organisation is entrusted for construction of border roads in Sikkim under various schemes such as Long Term Perspective Plan - (LTPP-l)-26 roads, LTPP-II - 3 roads, Special Accelerated Road Development Programme (SARDP)-02 roads, Indo¬china Border Roads (ICBRs)-03 roads and other General Staff-34 roads. A total road length of 1463.66 Km is under construction / improvement to Class-9 (Enhanced) / National Highway Double Lane Specifications in Sikkim State. Out of this 155.72 Km length has been completed and works are in progress in remaining length. Further 58 roads of length 828.14 Km are also being maintained by BRO in the State.
