Girish and the Chronicles given warm welcome by Chief Minister

GANGTOK, July 23: Girish and the Chronicles were given a warm welcome by Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on July 21 by offering them khadaas and a warm handshake with all the band members.

Sharing his words over a cup of tea with the band members, the Chief Minister congratulated the band members for the recent performance in Europe and at the same time expressed happiness for their achievement in an international platform.
“He encouraged us to continue doing music and not to lose focus from what we are doing. He even gave us examples of some figures in Sikkim who gained popularity for sometime and then lost it again, because they got carried away with the fame
and started losing focus on what actually they were supposed to be
doing,” Girish said in a press release issued today.

He added that the Chief Minister has promised them to help if they need in future. “The Chief Minister has also asked us to come up with any proposal regarding any aid that he can offer us,” Girish added.
