NABARD sanctions fund for infrastructure projects


GANGTOK, January 4: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs.76.27 crore against the total project cost of Rs.85.71 crore for the State of Sikkim for implementation of infrastructure projects under RIDF - XV. The projects sanctioned relate to Rural Education Institutions (26 Nos.), Rural Drinking Water Schemes (08 Nos.) and Rural Roads (21 Nos.) in the four districts of Sikkim.

With this, the cumulative loan sanctioned during the year 2009-10 aggregates to Rs.82.54 crore with a total project cost of Rs.93.09 crore, for implementation of 58 infrastructure projects relating to Education Institutions (26), Drinking Water Schemes (09) and Roads (23) in rural areas of Sikkim, informs B.K.
