Parivartan, a social initiative by the students of IIT Rajasthan, is committed to bring about a change in the lives of people we may not have met but have a glimpse of their ordeals every time we travel or have thought about them as a part of society we are to serve and feel responsible towards.

"A chance to give back to the society" is how we paraphrase it for we believe in Martin Luther King's "Life's most urgent question is : What are you doing for others?". We here at IIT Rajasthan work to inspire breakthroughs in the way educational institutes can contribute directly to the core of the society.

Parivartan has three vertical around which all its activities revolve which comprises of-
1. Awareness
2. Helping deprived people
3. Research and development for a sustainable model of the lesser established areas of society.

Groups of student under the Parivartan team regularly visits nearby areas, conduct activities and study sessions for small children, organize plays to increase awareness among people about various issues related to their beliefs and directly affecting their lifestyle through our inventiveness.

Developing solutions for technical, social and economic problems is what defines engineering and to stand by that definition we give ourselves this mission of creating opportunities for the underprivileged households and see ourselves at the forefront by helping villages to become an ideal model of developed village for the 21st century India. With Parivartan, we seek for a substantial change in the society. As of now, it has started out on a relatively small scale but with persistence and zeal so high, it is sure to create an impact noteworthy of being an example. Parivartan aims for a transformation not only in the lives of the economically deprived section but in the society at large, to respect their hardships and empower them.

Apart from academics, activities such as these form an integral part of a student's overall holistic development and bring out a much responsible global citizen in him/her and are a step forward in the vision of our Director to reach the last man, woman and child in the form of REALM (Realizing Engineers' Aspirations for the Last Man, Woman, and Child), a collaboration with Stanford University
