Vote on Account tabled in Sikkim Assembly

Gangtok, Mar 29 : Chief Minister Pawan Chamling, who also holds the Finance portfolio, today tabled a 'Vote on Account' of the Sikkim government for three months starting from April 2010 to June 2010 in the Legislative Assembly today.

The total requirement of funds is of the order of Rs 84,875.67 lakh, comprising Rs 69754.11 lakh on revenue account and Rs 15121.56 lakh on capital account, said the Chief Minister while presenting the Vote on Account in the House.

The Vote on Account is required to be presented in view of the non-finalisation of the size of the Annual Plan for 2010-11, said Chamling.

Discussions and voting will take place tomorrow, the final day of the Assembly session.
