28 ft Lord Hanuman statue installed at Jalipool


GANGTOK, December 6: An imposing statue of Lord Hanuman measuring 28 feet from bottom to top was unveiled today at Kancheswari Kamakoti temple, Jalipool near Ranipool.

Hundreds of devotees were present on the occasion to offer their prayers and also to see the State’s tallest statue of Lord Hanuman. The idol has come up due to the personal initiative of Udai Ram Agarwal from Gangtok.

Mr. Agarwal said that his faith on Lord Hanuman has brought him prosperity. The statue is made up of cement plaster and took more than one month for its construction.
