Govt. Fruit Preservation Factory to launch its own packaged drinking water soon.
The Government Fruit Preservation Factory (GFPF) has honored its distributors for constantly supporting the factory all the time and for helping it to increase its turnover in financial year 2010-11.
The factory has recorded the turnover of Rs 2.81 crores in 2010-11, which was around 80% more than last financial year of Rs 1.57 crores. In a function, the GFPF Managing Director, Karma Zimpa, felicitated its nine distributors in the state for supporting the factory in its good and bad time and for helping the factory to increase its turnover through their service on 16th April.
On the occasion, the MD has also handed over a laptop, which was already declared for the highest seller, to Swaminath Prasad for recording the highest sales of Rs 53.04 lakhs in 2010-11 among all nine distributors, which was 40.97 lakhs in last financial year. Similarly, Bidya Rai of Jorethang was on second place with Rs 32.59 lakhs and Jogendra Prasad on third place with 30.43 lakhs.
Addressing the function, the MD has mentioned that because of the joint efforts of everyone the factory has recorded the increase in its turnover. He also appreciated the support of Swaminath Prasad since the beginning of the factory and for helping out the factory in different difficult times. Mr Zimpa has urged all the distributors to help the factory in reaching the target set for this financial year and the factory will continue with its benefits and incentives to them.
He informed that the factory has also planned to set up a Food Processing Training Centre to train people and to encourage local entrepreneurs in this sector. He also informed that the factory is also going to bring out its own package drinking mineral water very soon and also starting the packaging of local produce with its brand. MD stated that the factory has been working continuously in value addition to its every product and also expanding its area of working as well. Production Manager GFPF, Narendra Rai mentioned that the factory was also in a close interaction with the farmers to encourage them to produce organic products and to provide them a good market for their organic produces.
He informed that the factory also has the plan to give some shares of the factory profit to the distributors on the basis of their performance. The function was also addressed by the Production Manager GFPF, Santosh Shankar.
