Sikkim: In Cold Wave

A cold wave swept Sikkim from Thursday as the mercury dipped to 11.0 degrees celsius during the daytime with reports of snowfall in the upper reaches of the States. Nathula (14300 Feet), Sherathang Trade Mart (13,600 feet), Kupup ((13,500Feet) and Tsomgo Lake (12400 feet) received snowfall,. according to the met office here. The maximum temperature of Gangtok was recorded at 11.0 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 6.0 in the last 24 hours.
